This Bread Is Nuts Quick Bread

Choose your favorite nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts, peanuts or hazelnuts) to flavor this delicious quick bread.

  • 3 Cups Unbleached Flour
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Beaten Egg
  • 1 2/3 Cups Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Cup Chopped Nuts
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In large-size bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, kosher salt, and baking soda. In another large-size bowl combine beaten egg, milk, and olive oil. Add egg mixture to flour mixture. Stir just until combined. Stir in nuts.
  3. Pour batter into greased large loaf pan (9x5x3 inches). Place in oven 60 minutes until golden brown and toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
  4. Remove from oven and cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly on wire rack. Wrap and store overnight before slicing.
  5. Makes 1 loaf
