Perfect for Super Bowl Sunday! This chili recipe is easily doubled, so it will provide enough for a party and leftovers during the weak!
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Large Onion (Chopped)
- 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper
- 3 Garlic Cloves (Finely Chopped)
- 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
- 2 Teaspoons Ground Cumin
- 1 1/2 Pounds Ground Turkey
- 4 Cups Diced Tomatoes
- 2 Cups Refried Beans
- 2 Cups Black Beans (Rinsed)
- 2 Cups Kidney Beans (Rinsed)
- 1 Cup Roasted Diced Chiles
- 1 Cup Chicken Broth
- Sour Cream (Optional)
- Shredded Cheese (Optional)
- Tortilla Cheese (Optional)
- In large-size saucepan or Dutch oven heat olive oil over a medium heat. Add onions and season with kosher salt and pepper. Cook, covered, 8 minutes until tender.
- Stir in garlic, chili powder, and cumin. Cook 1 minute. Add ground turkey and cook 5 minutes until begins to brown (breaking it up with a spoon while cooking).
- Add tomatoes (and their juices), beans, chiles, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and serve with sour cream, shredded cheese, and tortilla chips, if desired.
