
Fruity jelly cuts through rich, smooth peanut butter. Kids and adults of all ages love this classic flavor combination. I know that I do!
- 8 Slices White Bread
- 1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/3 Cup Jelly Or Jam
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/8 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 2 Teaspoons Vegetable Oil
- 2 Teaspoons Powdered Sugar
- Preheat oven to 225 degrees.
- Spread peanut butter onto 4 slices of bread. Onto remaining bread spread jelly or jam. Sandwich peanut butter and jelly slices.
- In shallow baking dish whisk milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and kosher salt.
- Add vegetable oil to large-size nonstick skillet. Turn heat to medium. Working with 2 sandwiches at a time, dip into egg mixture to soak both sides. Place in skillet. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to oven to keep warm. Continue dipping and cooking remaining sandwiches.
- Serve warm and dusted with powdered sugar.
