Sweet glazed onions are a perfect pairing with meats and vegetables. I even like to add them to green salads.

  • 2 Pounds Small White Onions
  • 3 Cups Water
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper
  1. Peel onions, leaving a little bit of the root end attached to help onions hold their shape.
  2. In a large-size skillet, combine onions and water. Heat to boiling over a high heat. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes until tender. Remove from heat. Drain well and set aside.
  3. In same skillet, melt butter over a medium heat. Add onions, kosher salt, and pepper. Shake skillet occasionally and cook 15 minutes until onions have browned.
  4. Remove from heat and serve with meats, vegetables, or salads.
  5. Makes 8 accompaniment servings.
  6. "Work With What You Got!"
