The flavor of stout enhances the batter of these crispy onion rings.
- Vegetable Oil For Frying
- 4 Onions (Peeled And Sliced Thick)
- 2 Cups Unbleached Flour
- 1 Pint Stout
- Kosher Salt For Finishing
- In medium-size bowl combine flour and stout to create a batter.
- Add vegetable oil in medium-size pot and heat until temperature reaches 350 degrees.
- Working in batches, dip sliced onion rings into batter and then into oil.
- Fry, flipping once or twice, for about 2 minutes and drain on paper towels.
- Transfer to serving platter, finish with kosher salt, and serve immediately.
