The perfect thing about this recipe is that you can make it ahead of time and heat up a portion in the morning and then add plain Greek yogurt and berries

  • 2 1/2 Cups Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Steel-Cut Oats
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Large Egg (Beaten)
  • 1/3 Cup Applesauce
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Honey
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Cups Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 Cup Strawberry Jam (Warmed)
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In large-size bowl combine rolled oats, steel-cut oats, baking powder, kosher salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In medium-size bowl combine milk, egg, applesauce, vegetable oil, honey, and brown sugar.
  4. Add wet mixture to oat mixture. Stir until combined.
  5. Transfer to a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Place into oven, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and stir mixture and fold in berries. Place back in oven, uncovered, for an additional 20 minutes until lightly browned.
  6. Remove from oven and spoon into bowls. Serve with yogurt and warmed strawberry jam.
